... in a 1990's toy shop.
Does anyone else feel like that when viewing these pictures? All the memories are coming back to me now.
Those were the days!
... I like the way you actually respond to any criticism that occurs in these comments and even change your article accordingly.
Ha, that's cool mate. It's always good to listen to criticism, especially if you learn from it.
Keep up the good work and here's some positive feedback for you! :)
Very interesting and insightful and just the right length before I got bored. I'm sure a lot of the points also correspond to journalists in general, e.g. Car reviewers.
It's no surprise that with enough Sex and Money you can get whatever you want, high game review scores included.
I'll say it before and I'll say it again, more interesting articles like this people! :)
Thanks for your reply mate. I just wanted to make sure you weren't a fanboy before I thought about approving this story. By your response I can see that you're not and I can understand what you're trying to say.
Therefore an Approval is on it's way! Cheers. :)
The MetaCritic score for the Xbox 360 version of the game (85) was based on the review ratings of 43 websites/magazines and the PS3 version is based only on 4 ratings.
I haven't played either version of the game and am trying to remain unbiased. All I humbly ask therefore is, is this statistically significant?
Looks like if you wanna earn the big bucks you gotta be a programmer.
To all those people who laughed at us for learning about "ints" and "bools", "pointers" and "heaps" in our spare time ... who's laughing now, hey, who's laughing now!
Haha.
The games industry is now big and in the mainstream. Move aside. The time of the geeks is here. :p
I agree with Joe, this article could have been just another wet dream for fanboys but instead it presents both sides of the story and doesn't really end up being biased.
Still wish the Elite had Wi-Fi as standard though considering how cheap it is!
More articles like this please to offset all those damn April Fools ones!
I think I'm just very impatient, deepbrown mate, I like to get the ball rolling! If someone sees an article's been commented on they're more likely to add their own two cents as well.
Plus it stops the first post being a fanboy rant, e.g.
"The PS3 version of RE5 will TOTALLY OWN the 360 dude! PS The 360 SUCKS ASS!"
Haha (or something like that!)
I've thought about putting more of my own words into the description, but the...
I've played Resident Evil 4 on both the PS2 and the Gamecube and if you consider how impressive it looked on those consoles, imagine how sweet it'll look on the PS3 and 360!
Those next gen visuals will definitely help with the atmosphere, with shadows showing even a game set during the daylight can be scary.
I like their multiplayer idea - how cool would it be to be playing with your friends co-operatively against the zombies. Or even better, if one of your frie...
I'm glad you liked it mate, good to see that new people are still reading this 18 days later. I've had enough positive comments now, so I'll be writing up the next part pretty soon ...
I've just done the sums and even if you could get the Premium for £199 you still end up saving a decent amount with this deal.
Speaking of which, my cousin's birthday is coming up next month, does anyone in the UK know if you can still get a Premium for the £199 price anywhere, like they were selling at Makro a few weeks ago?
I'd love to play against (beat) my cousin with some Xbox Live fun!
Haha, I love your sarcasm mate!
It's EXACTLY the same article that was posted earlier at:
http://www.n4g.com/NewsCom-...
It's the same Joystiq.com article, the only difference being that there's a GameTab frame at the top of the page!
... parents who give their children no correct sense of morality do.
I agree with you TOrcy mate, It's not about religion or movies or games, it's all about knowing the difference between right and wrong. If only the media would ever tell people the facts rather than doing their typical tabloid journalism.
You made a very good point TOrcy, and you deserve positive feedback for that, I just wish the media were as positive and logical in their comments ...
Now if they just added groupies, the whole Guitar Hero package would be totally realistic ...
Damn, I started reading this article up to half way and actually thought it was real ... until I realised it was April 1st today.
Funny story though! It's always the ones which intertwine actual facts into their stories which sound the most convincing.
As long as this whole Take-Two affair doesn't affect GTA IV, I'm sure most people won't be too fussed by it!
Do you ever wonder why you only have 1 bubble mate?
... just cos I find the whole idea of people finding this story interesting as funny and slightly weird!
It's just a video which basically shows nothing and is completely ambiguous and yet somehow seems to have captured this site's readers attention.
Interesting stuff, I'm very curious to see how popular this "story" becomes and it WILL be (and already is) popular, no question about that ... :)
Agreed mate. You can earn more by getting a more "boring" office type programming job. But like UrbanJabroni said, you do get a more rewarding experience because you know you're writing or taking part in writing a game.
It sucks that game programmers get paid less than other industry programmers and that you have to know more but hopefully as the game industry gets bigger (and it is getting bigger) and further crowds out the film and music industries game programmers ...
